Search for barista pay in Jordan and you'll get a Facebook comment, an Instagram reel, and a foreign site claiming baristas here earn 47,000 JOD a year. That last one is plainly wrong — it works out to roughly 4,000 JOD a month.

Minimum wage is 290 JOD, fixed until the end of 2027. Entry-level baristas usually start near it.
Where you work. Chains and larger cafes pay more and offer medical insurance. Small independents start at the floor.
Days per week. Six is standard, seven comes up often. Check it before comparing two salaries.
Actual skill. Latte art and espresso machine experience raise pay, and plenty of ads ask for them by name.

On tips: not one barista ad mentioned them. Tips exist in practice but aren't part of advertised pay, so we don't count them.
