Almost every nail technician ad we read in Amman pays a base plus commission, and the base is often low. A single salary figure doesn't tell you much.
Here is how pay actually works in the ads we found, and what to ask before you accept.
Don't compare two jobs by the base alone. Ask how commission is calculated, and when it is paid.
We found only four ads with a written figure, and they varied widely. That is too few to publish a salary band, and we have no second source to check against. Treat any number you see online as low-confidence.
Jordan's minimum wage is 290 JOD and is fixed until the end of 2027. If someone offers you a base below that as an employee, that's below the minimum. Commission on top does not change that.
Ads rarely answer any of this. Ask on the first call, not after you start.
Job ads posted on Jordanian sites in September 2026, for nail technician roles in Amman. Every ad we read included commission. Only four carried a written figure, and there is no Bayt Jordan data to cross-check.
We didn't use international salary sites. Their Jordan figures are far from the real market.
